The Project Manager will be responsible for commercial and industrial projects from cradle to grave. My client is looking for someone with design build expertise (estimating and preconstruction included) and someone who can be a leader in the business. This person will be handling all office and some on site tasks when it comes to handling new construction projects.

My client is a is a full-service design build construction headquartered in the Midwest. They have an office in downtown St. Louis and specialize in multiple project types.

Description

Completes materials "take-offs" and establishes cost estimatesReviews project proposal, drawings and plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projectDevelops relationships with subcontractors and maintains lists of subcontractors that perform quality workConfers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authorityDirects and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budgetPrepares daily, weekly, monthly schedule to support and preserve the Contract Project ScheduleReviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as requiredDictates or prepares project reports for management, client, or othersConfers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problemsCoordinates project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies

Profile

The ideal Project Manager candidate:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management3-7 years of experience as a Project Manager working on commercial or light industrial projectsWorking knowledge of skilled trades including carpentry, masonry, concrete work, site excavation and grading, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, and electrical.Working knowledge of commercial construction technology and details. Candidate must be extremely proficient reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawingsExcellent communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients.
